Sunday Morning Services

Like most churches, there’s a pattern to our services… and it’s not just that we have refreshments to follow them all…

1st Sunday of the month

Communion service without the children and youth.

We all begin the service together – children, youth and adults.

The children and youth leave for their own groups before someone speaks to us in the light of a Bible reading.

During communion the children and youth remain in their own groups and we all reassemble for hot/cold drinks and biscuits at end of the service.

2nd Sunday of the month

All-Age Service
(occasionally includes a thanksgiving or baptism)

We gather at 9.30 am for hot and cold drinks, biscuits, bakes and fresh fruit:
– adults mingle and catchup
– youth do their version of the same thing
– children play and enjoy supervised craft activities

At 10.00 am we all move into the church for a short informal service.

All Age Services are the normal occasions for baptisms – an opportunity to mark and celebrate the beginning of someone’s journey with Jesus and formally welcome them into the family of the church – we love them!

3rd Sunday of the month

Communion service with the children and youth.

We all begin the service together – children, youth and adults.

The children and youth leave for their own groups before someone speaks to us in the light of a Bible reading.

The children and youth join the adults to celebrate communion all together.

When the whole service is over we spill out into the Overflow area at the back of the church for hot/cold drinks and biscuits.

4th Sunday of the month

Morning Service (non-Communion service).

We all begin the service together – children, youth and adults.

The children and youth leave for their own groups before someone speaks to us in the light of a Bible reading.

When the whole service is over we spill out into the Overflow area at the back of the church for hot/cold drinks and biscuits. The children and youth rejoin us in the Overflow area.

5th Sunday of the month

Morning Service (non-Communion service).

If there’s a 5th Sunday in the month it’s treated like the 4th Sunday.
