Prayer

“Prayer is simply talking to God. He speaks to us and we listen; we speak to him and he listens.” (Mother Theresa of Calcutta)

Morning Prayer

On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, from 9.15 to 10.00, we gather for a service called Morning Prayer in the Prayer Room (up the stairs after entering the church building).

Morning Prayer is a reflective space that centres on the reading of the Bible, reflecting on it, and responding to it in prayer.

If you’re free, why not come and try it?

Prayer for our communities…

“If we truly love people, we will desire for them far more than it is within our power to give them, and this will lead us to prayer.” (Richard J. Foster)

Every Tuesday afternoon, from 2.00 to 3.00, some members of the church gather to pray for people and situations in our communities. If you’d like to join us, you’d be very welcome.

If you’d like to be prayed for, anonymously or by name, there are prayer cards on the Welcome Desk on the left as you enter the church building with a closed box to drop them into. Otherwise, you could email a prayer request stating whether or not you’re happy to receive a followup email regarding an update on the situation. NOTE: Emails cannot be considered confidential, however, every effort will be made to maintain confidentiality.
