Being a disciple of Jesus

We don’t often think of ourselves as ‘disciples’ and there can be confusion and misunderstanding when we use the term. What does it mean to be a disciple of Jesus? Can I consider myself to be a Christian but not a disciple – as if discipleship were a kind of optional extra for the extra keen?

Through this series we see what the gospel of Luke has to teach us about what it means to be a disciple. We discover that a disciple is someone who is living life with Jesus, growing to be like Jesus and sharing in the works of Jesus – it’s a dynamic journey, a costly adventure of growth and discovery.
